Modificar el derecho de las madres trabajadoras a disfrutar de un descanso por maternidad, de 6 semanas anteriores y 6 posteriores a 7 semanas anteriores y 7 posteriores al parto, pudiendo transferir hasta 4 de las 7 semanas de descanso previas al parto para después del mismo. Permitir que el descanso sea de 10 semanas en vez de solo 8, en caso de que los hijos hayan nacido con cualquier tipo de discapacidad o requieran atención médica hospitalaria.
