Incluir como objetivo del Sistema Nacional de Salud, la contribución al desarrollo de la enseñanza y la investigación científica y tecnológica en el campo de la salud, así como promover la participación de los sectores social y privado en la formación de recursos humanos especializados, en particular en geriatría y gerontología. Asimismo, agregar un capitulo Capítulo III Bis denominado De la Atención Geriátrica, para la implementación y regulación de la misma.
